John Andrews – Director

John Andrews had a full career in the army prior to successfully making the transition to the commercial electronics sector.   He brought the combination of military and commercial experience to recruitment and now has over fifteen years  experience placing ex-forces officers and SNCOs across a range of sectors.  In particular, John understands the varying perceptions that the commercial world has of ex-military and effectively communicates on that basis.

Normally registrants are interviewed face-to-face, as a matter of course, to establish their strengths and weaknesses and to identify the best opportunities for them, in terms of sectors and employers.    There is then a follow-up process and registrants are encouraged to develop their own job search plan in conjunction with us.  Where a particular role is identified all candidates being considered will have a face-to-face meeting to confirm the technical fit and above all that their cultural and behavioural fit is appropriate.

It is a particular measure of his success that many of those that he has helped or placed, on leaving the forces,  keep in touch and come back to him when seeking further career moves or advice. Equally it is gratifying to see others, who have been placed and are now rising up the career ladder,  coming  back to him as clients this time, looking to recruit rather than being recruited…

Bob Lisle – Associate Consultant

Bob Lisle has had a varied and successful career, firstly as a Military Engineer and then post-Army in a number of roles.

Bob joined the Royal Engineers as a Sapper and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In his Army career he has been involved in managing projects ranging from bridge construction to camps for 1000+ personnel.  Beyond that he has been engaged in asset management and the movement of personnel and specialist equipment all over the world. Aside from management and logistics, for two years he was heavily involved in diplomatic work within Eastern Europe working closely with foreign officials and managing a budget of £3 million.

Since leaving the Army he has continued in a variety of roles including project managing the refurbishment of a number of large secondary schools and advising the Libyan Government on the restructure of their Fire and Inshore Rescue Services.  More recently, Bob spent three years in developing regions of the Middle-East where he managed operations in large oil and gas companies.

With the combination of his Army and commercial experience, Bob is passionately keen to match ex-services personnel with the best employment opportunities for them, particularly in the areas of: Logistics, Construction Project Management, Facilities Management, and Health and Safety.
